There are generations of knowledge on Wyoming farms and ranches. To share it, Wyoming needs agriculture innovation centers and exchanges. CWC’s 偷牛贼Ag) & 马 Complex will research and teach the best of traditional practices alongside new livestock production and health methods and technologies. It will explore new techniques in farm-to-table, food production, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship. By leveraging local resources and the 偷牛贼Ag) & 马 Complex, Central Wyoming College can:

Educate and equip the agriculture workforce
Train the leaders essential for building a robust agriculture economy for the region
Attract regional event to enhance existing agriculture and equine operations
Be a catalyst for opportunities within our tourism corridor for local food, 烹饪, agriculture, and equine economic development and advancement

The Rocky Mountain region is an important ranching, equine and agricultural production center for the state of Wyoming and the nation. By utilizing existing local resources and the 偷牛贼Ag) & 马 Complex, CWC believes it can meet the challenge of providing the educated workforce and leaders essential for building a robust economy for the region.

Agriculture is Wyoming’s third largest economic sector. The value added to Wyoming’s economy by the ag sector totaled $1.72 billion in 2016. Fremont County is the largest producer of fruit, milk, honey, and eggs.

The total economic impact for horses in Wyoming is $286 million. Fremont County is the ninth county in the US for the number of horses and ponies in livestock inventory which supports a vibrant equine studies and rodeo industry.

Cattle and calves generate more than one billion dollars in agriculture cash receipts for Wyoming. With the ability to finish and process meats locally, producers will capture higher revenues. Fremont County is tenth in cattle production with high potential for locally finished beef.
